MDTA Announces Virtual Industry Forum for the Rebuilding of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on May 7
Business Opportunities as Part of a Progressive Design-Build Process
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will host a Virtual Industry Forum for the rebuilding of the Francis Scott Key Bridge on May 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
During the forum, MDTA representatives will discuss the anticipated Progressive Design-Build (PDB) process with potential consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to help inform the pending Request for Proposals (RFP).

A Message from MDOT’s Commuter Choice Maryland Program
Following the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge (I-695) and the painful loss of six construction crew members who were working on the bridge, Maryland residents, employees, and employers have experienced disruptions to traffic and commuting patterns. The effects are being felt regionally as traffic patterns shift.
The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is working to help everyone get where they need to go and identifying services that may help Marylanders during this difficult time. Together, we can reduce the effects on roadway congestion by teleworking, shifting work schedules, using transit, driving with colleagues or friends, biking, walking, or using scooters for commuting and for non-work trips.

Take the Maryland EV and Infrastructure Planning Survey Today!
The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is seeking input from Maryland community members to identify the challenges and opportunities associated with electric vehicle (EV) ownership and the installation of EV charging infrastructure.
The valuable information gathered from the Maryland EV and Infrastructure Planning Survey will help MDOT better understand how to best use federal and state funding to electrify Maryland’s transportation sector and meet state greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals. Survey responses must be completed by May 15.
