Accessory Dwelling Unit Policy Task Force Deliberates Practical Issues, Recommendations, and Best Practices
Earlier this fall, the Maryland Department of Planning (MDP), in partnership with the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, the Governor’s Appointments Office, and the Maryland Senate and House of Delegates, formed the Accessory Dwelling Unit Policy Task Force (Task Force). During the 2023 legislative session, the Maryland General Assembly passed SB 382 (sponsored by Senator Mary Washington), which created the Task Force and was enacted into law on May 28, 2023.
