Holds Virtual Meeting for Prince George’s County Residents
on Wednesday, July 28

Virtual Meeting to Solicit Redistricting Comments as Part of Listening Tour


(July 22, 2021) ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission, a bipartisan commission created by Governor Larry Hogan to draw fair and representative legislative and congressional district maps for the 2022 elections, will hold a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, July 28, at 6:00 p.m. for residents of Prince George’s County. Individuals from all other counties are welcome to join the meeting. The meeting will conclude upon the completion of testimony from the last speaker.

This is the first of three rounds of public meetings – the first round is a listening tour and concludes with this meeting; the second round will begin late August after Census data is distributed to the states on August 16; and the third round will occur after the Commission drafts legislative and congressional maps.

WHO: Maryland Citizens Redistricting Commission and residents of Prince George’s County.  **Reminder, although the focus is on Prince George’s County, anyone from any county is welcome to join the meeting.**
