Non-Capital Grant Program!
The Maryland Historical Trust Non-Capital Historic Preservation Grant Program
provides competitive grants to nonprofit organizations and local governments
for research, survey, planning, and educational activities involving
architectural, archeological and other cultural resources. Eligible activities
may include: architectural, archeological, or cultural resource surveys; the
development of preservation plans; educational outreach programs; and
National Register nominations. Eligible projects should seek to preserve the
tangible remains of Maryland's past in a manner that is consistent with MHT's
standards and guidelines. For FY 2020, the total amount of grant funds
available is $300,000.
Prospective applicants should plan to attend an upcoming workshop on
June 11, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM or June 26, 2019 from 10:00 AM to
12:00 PM in Crownsville. The workshop will include information about the
program, FY 2020 funding priorities, eligible activities, and the online
application and reporting system. The application and guidelines will be
available prior to the workshop.
