Have you ever heard or felt that
you or someone in your family or community has experienced discrimination in
employment, housing, or public places? Do you want to know more about how Maryland law protects you from discrimination? Are you wondering where to go if you believe your rights have been violated?
This short educational seminar will
provide a review of the basic services of the Maryland Commission on Civil
Rights (MCCR), and the meaning of Maryland’s anti-discrimination code (Title
20). We will also cover how to file a formal charge with the Commission, what
education and outreach resources are available to you and your community, and
there will be time for questions and answers with the audience.
All workshops are free and open to the public!
