Virtual Hike Through the Appalachian Trail

Join us for games, events, and a reading challenge!

Program start date: 06/01/2024 and Program end date: 08/31/2024

Join us on a virtual hike through Western Maryland’s Appalachian Trail!

You can walk, run, jog, listen, or read through 40 miles of the scenic Appalachian Trail. If you complete the program, you win a prize!

Here’s how the game works:

For every mile you walk, run, hike, swim, or bike, you earn a mile towards walking the 40 miles of the Appalachian Trail that runs through Western Maryland.
If you choose to read your way through the Trail, you earn miles based on what type of books you read.
If you choose to attend a program or event, you earn miles based on what type of event you attend.
If you choose to listen to a podcast, you earn miles based on what type of podcast you listen to.
If you choose to complete an activity, you earn miles based on the activity.
