Join Hyattsville Police and Maryland-National Capital Park Police officers for a free screening of "The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)" starting at 7 p.m. at Driskell Park! Community Paint Day Cancelled
The Community Paint Day to install street art at the Jefferson Street & 40th Avenue intersection scheduled for Saturday, July 1, is cancelled due to the anticipated poor weather conditions.
A community paint day to install the street art at Church Place Alley is being scheduled for August; continue to follow Hyattsville City communications once a date is announced.

University Park Meadow Day!
Join University Park, Hyattsville City staff, and other community partners for UP Meadow Day on July 8 (rain date is July 9) from 10 a.m. – noon, at the UP Pollinator Meadow on Adelphi Road, across the street from the Hyattsville Branch Library. Come enjoy the summer blooms and learn about our local biodiversity ecosystem, participate in the native plant swap, a scavenger hunt, and take a pollinator & native plant quiz to win meadow seeds! Invasive Vine Removal Training
As part of tree canopy conservation project, the City and the Chesapeake Climate Action Network are training volunteers on July 8 & 15 from 9 a.m. – noon to learn how to safely remove vines without harming the trees. Ward 4 invites you to connect with your neighbors at a community block party & pig roast on July 8, from 4 – 10 p.m., at the 5800 block of 31st Place!
