Zumba Classes on Wednesdays
Join us for FREE Zumba fitness classes instructed by Tiny Zumba this March! Classes are now first-come, first-serve on Wednesdays from 4 – 5 p.m. at City Building, 4310 Gallatin Street. Cool Green Bus Shelters!
The City is getting cooler with some new Cool Green Bus Shelters! These innovative structures provide shade and seating while also generating solar power and serving as a green roof for living plants.

Tree Care Event
Join the City of Hyattsville and Casey Trees next week! On March 11 from 9:30 a.m. – noon at Driskell Park, 3911 Hamilton St., to help care for young trees!

Todos Votamos!
It's so easy to vote in Hyattsville that there's no excuse not to get registered! Anyone 16 (!!) and older who has been a Hyattsville City resident for at least 30 days can vote in our May 9 elections. U.S. citizenship is not a requirement to vote, and your personal information stays confidential. If you live here, you get a say in your City's elected officials! Find voter information at hyattsville.org/vote.
You can register to vote and ask questions about the election at our ¡Todos Votamos¡ outreach event on March 12 at Heurich Park, 2900 Nicholson Street. From noon to 2 p.m., we'll have voting registration, music, food, games, election swag, and much more! We’ll see you there!

Fresh Produce Distribution!
We’re hosting fresh produce distributions on March 21 at the First United Methodist Church (6201 Belcrest Rd.) and March 25 at Driskell Park (3911 Hamilton St). Both distributions begin at noon. Food is available first come, first serve.

RCP Class fully in Spanish
The City of Hyattsville is offering a free CPR class fully in Spanish! On Wednesday, March 15, at 6 p.m., at the City Building, 4310 Gallatin St. Participants will learn to recognize a cardiac emergency, handle an unconscious person, give rescue breaths, and perform CPR.

Bulk Trash Pop-Day & E-Recycling & Paint Collection Day
The City’s next Bulk Waste Pop-Up will take place on March 18! Residents can bring bulk trash items like broken furniture, household goods, and yard equipment to the DPW Operations Center, 4633 Arundel Place from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. or until dumpsters reach capacity. An E-Recycling & Paint Collection Day will take place on Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 4633 Arundel Place. Find a list of acceptable items at hyattsville.org/recycle.

Chat with the Chief & Coffee with a Cop
Have you ever wanted to ask our Police Chief how the department works and his approach to keeping our city safe? If so, please attend our first “Chat with the Chief” from 7-8 p.m. on March 22 at the City Building, 4310 Gallatin St. A virtual Chat will take place in April.
