New scholarship program available!
City of Hyattsville high school seniors and graduates interested in pursuing higher learning are encouraged to apply for the new Hyattsville Educational Path Scholarship!
Students who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in college, university, or trade schools can apply for funding to support the cost of tuition, books, and other school materials. Applications will be accepted between January 23 and March 24, 2023.

Holiday Tree Pick-Up: Leave live trees curbside for pick-up with weekly compost and yard waste pickup on Monday January 23, 30 or February 6! Please make sure trees are free of all lights and decoration. For questions, call (301) 985-5032.
Participate in the 2022-2026 City Sustainability Plan! We’re updating our community sustainability five-year plan, and we need your feedback to ensure the new plan meets the community's needs! Share your thoughts on transportation, housing, public spaces, and more at our upcoming prioritization sessions on January 24 and 25 or online at hellohyattsville.com! Relief Funding for Hyattsville Residents and Businesses: Hyattsville residents can still apply for COVID-19 relief funding of up to $5,000 per household! Hyattsville businesses, non-profits, and childcare providers may also be eligible for relief. Learn more about all programs and check your eligibility at hyattsville.org/rescueplan. You must live or own a business in the incorporated City limits of Hyattsville to apply for the resident and business programs; check your address eligibility at hyattsville.org/isithyattsville.
Trolley Trail Construction and Traffic Updates: The Maryland State Highway Administration has begun construction on the Trolley Trail extension, resulting in intermittent lane closures on Route 1 Northbound and Southbound between Charles Armentrout Drive and Farragut Street. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists has been provided. Please be prepared for extra traffic in the area, particularly during rush hour. You can follow the project's progress in the MDSHA's portal.

COVID-19 Updates & Resources
REMINDER: Start the year off right by getting your COVID and flu vaccines! Take advantage of the opportunity to get free COVID-19 boosters as well as flu shots and regular COVID-19 vaccine doses at the City's Tuesday and Saturday clinics.
Vaccines are available for ages 3 and up and no insurance is required. Visit hyattsville.org/covidvaccine for details and transportation options.

PCR Testing (Drive-through & walk-up): Mondays & Thursdays, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. (all ages)
The City also has COVID-19 self-test kits available for pick-up at the City Building, 4310 Gallatin Street. Kits are available during business hours, M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. One kit per person present; each kit contains two tests.
