Dear Student,

Are you interested in receiving the Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant for next year?  

If you have been notified by Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC)  about being potentially eligible for the GA Grant for the 2019-2020 academic year, time is running out to submit the additional required documents necessary for MHEC to confirm your eligibility for the GA Grant program.

The deadline to submit all requested documentation to be considered for the 2019-2020 Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant, is April 1, 2019.  This deadline applies to both INITIAL and RENEWAL Guaranteed Access Grant students who have been notified by MHEC about their eligibility.      

If you have not done so already, we encourage you to create an account through the Maryland College Aid Processing System (MDCAPS) at https://mdcaps.mhec.state.md.us/.  Once logged into MDCAPS, select the "To Do List" link for a listing of all required documentation.

Documents for consideration of the GA Grant must be submitted by April 1^st to MHEC, utilizing one of the methods listed below:

1. Email: ga.mhec@maryland.gov;
2. By Mail: Maryland Higher Education Commission Office of Student Financial Assistance Attention:  GA Grant Verification 6 North Liberty Street, Ground Suite Baltimore, MD  21201; or
3. Drop boxes, which are located in the MHEC lobbies, located at 6 North Liberty Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 and 200 West Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. The drop box on West Baltimore Street can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please make sure you fill out the form that must accompany your documentation prior to placing it in the drop box.
