 Dear Student,

Important Update! The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) has begun identifying students that may be eligible to receive the Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant for the 2019-2020 academic year!

In order to be considered for the GA Grant be sure that you file your 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1, 2019. If you are identified as potentially eligible for the GA grant, you will be notified via postal mail and email to submit additional required documents, which must be submitted to MHEC by April 1, 2019.

Initial and Renewal GA students must submit the FAFSA and all required documentation by the above deadlines to be considered for the 2019-2020 GA grant.

Again, MHEC has begun notifying students who have been identified as potentially eligible to receive the 2019-2020 GA grant. If you have not done so already, we encourage you to create an account through the Maryland College Aid Processing System (MDCAPS) in order to view your eligibility status and a listing of required documentation if identified. To create an MDCAPS account, you may visit https://mdcaps.mhec.state.md.us/.
