Additional Information: The fire involved a two-story, single family dwelling which was occupied by 3 persons at the time of the fire. The cause of the fire was determined to be the ignition of dried vegetation from a wildlife nest adjacent to the vent from the oil fired furnace. The smoke alarms in the home had reportedly been removed during on-going renovations and not reinstalled. All occupants escaped without injury.
