Nature of Service Requested: Assessment of military ordnance
Action Taken/ Resolution: Diagnostics were performed on the hand grenade in question and it was determined to be inert (free from explosives that could cause injury).
Assisting Agencies: Westminster Police Department, Westminster Volunteer Fire Company, the Office of the State Fire Marshal's Northeast Regional Office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), all assisted the State Fire Marshal's Bomb Squad unit.
Additional Information: There is no indication as to who the ordnance belongs to and how it ended up on the property.
