Preliminary Cause: Accidental - due to discarded smoking material
Additional Information: Mr. Claxton woke up to smoke and discovered a wicker table on fire. He attempted to extinguish the fire with a pot water. He later obtained a garden hose from the neighbor and was able to control and eventually extinguish the fire prior to the arrival of the fire department. The fire was contained to the rear sun porch with smoke damage throughout the house. Assisted by friends and family.
