Preliminary Cause: Accidental - due to discarded ashes from wood stove
Additional Information: Mrs. Reeves was home alone with her (3) children when she heard an unusual sound. Upon checking, the family discovered a fire on the rear porch. The family was able to safely escape and call 911. Investigators determined high winds contributed to the fast moving fire. The home is a complete loss and the family lost all possessions including Christmas presents. Red Cross and family members are assisting.
