Preliminary Cause:   Accidental - heating element was placed too close to combustibles

Additional Information: Around 10:30 AM, a resident of the apartment building noticed smoke coming from the above listed address. The fire department responded and made entry into the apartment. Upon doing a search of the apartment involved, they found the victim in her bedroom. The victim was removed and then flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma where she's in serious condition with smoke inhalation.  The origin and cause revealed this accidental fire was caused by combustibles being placed too closely to a heater's heating element.
