Preliminary Cause: Accidental - Mr. Miller was refueling his ethylene fireplace when he tripped, spilling the fuel which was ignited by the lit fireplace and subsequently ignited the couch and other furnishings. Miller sustained 2nd degree burns to his left, lower leg.
Additional Information: The fire was contained to the basement with moderate smoke and soot damage throughout the remainder of the house. The Miller's and their (2) young children are being assisted by friends/family.
