On Saturday, September 21, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will host a customer appreciation event at the Intercounty Connector (ICC)/MD 200 facility, 13201 Konterra Drive in Laurel. Customers who use MDTA toll facilities, as well as MDTA contractors and vendors and neighbors who live close to the ICC, are invited to this free community event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Those attending will have the opportunity to watch demonstrations from the MDTA Police K-9s, meet McGruff the Crime Dog, take a close look at equipment used in the maintenance of MDTA facilities, sign up for E-ZPass, and participate in various live events. Hot dogs will be available. There will also be information about MDTA job recruitment and contracting opportunities.

Event partners include the Maryland Highway Safety Office and Prince George’s County Fire and EMS. E-ZPass Maryland will also participate. The event will take place rain or shine. Onsite parking will be available free of charge. For more information call 410-537-1000.
