Maryland Green Registry Members,
As the year draws to a close, I'd like to share the news that I'll be retiring from the State at the end of the year. It’s been a privilege to get to know you all, some in person and others through e-mail exchanges and phone calls. Many of you welcomed me into your facilities to learn about your projects and meet your green teams or participated in one of our many sustainability assessments. It’s been a pleasure to help bring your stories to light through the Maryland Green Registry and watch the program grow from its first member to its 623rd.
There are many opportunities for the Maryland Green Registry to grow and change. I’ve put forward some recommendations for next steps and I'm sure you'll be hearing more about how your good work can continue to be highlighted in the future.
As for me, I’m excited to return to what inspired my passion for environmental protection in the first place so you’ll find me out on the trails guiding others. Building connection with the natural world is at the heart of sustainability and I feel fortunate to be coming full circle and working in that space again.
So with that, stay green, stay engaged and happy trails until we meet again!
