Greening the Grid and Energy Efficiency
The transition to renewable energy is getting a much-needed boost through recently passed state and federal climate legislation. Incentives for solar and wind energy aim to green the electrical grid so that each kilowatt hour produced carries a lower carbon impact and paves the way for greater electrification of buildings and transportation. While these incentives are rolled out, let's not forget that there are incentives available today to help your organization reduce its energy consumption. As we all know, the greenest and least expensive kilowatt is the one not used.
Google Meet Discussion on Energy and Sustainability Topics
Drop in on a Google Meet on October 12, 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. for an introduction to individuals who can guide you on state and utility incentives for energy efficiency. This call is the final meeting for a group of six businesses that participated in a Maryland Green Registry program that provided free on-site sustainability assessments. It will also include a discussion on green teams and continual improvement, and all are welcome to join in. The agenda and more information can be found here. No need to register, just click on the Google Meet link below.
