Purchasing Green Power
Maryland is on a path to increase the amount of renewable energy that electricity suppliers in the state must procure from renewable sources to 50 percent by 2030, but you can help accelerate the benefits of greening the grid by selecting a renewable energy provider today.
Visit MD Electric Choice and select "Renewable" as a filter. It will list energy providers that work with your utility provider that are providing up to 100% of their electricity from renewables. It's an easy way to use your buying power to reduce the climate impacts of your electrical usage at home and in the workplace.

Time to be Idle Free
Did you know that Maryland law limits motor vehicle idling (with certain exemptions) to five minutes? Reducing unnecessary idling saves fuel, reduces engine wear, protects public health, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
Visit the Idle Free MD website for handouts, signage, logos, and other resources to help educate your staff when using fleet and/or personal vehicles. Consider also adding hybrid, electric, and other cars with idle-stop systems to your fleet.

Have you added your logo?
Logos provide instant recognition and help customers to remember your company so if your logo is not already on your member profile, email the file (png. or jpg) to green.registry@maryland.gov and we'll add it for you.
And speaking of logos, all the Maryland Green Registry logos can be downloaded from the Members Only webpage.
