Greening Your Business Program

Are you ready to make 2019 your greenest year yet?  The Greening Your Business program can help you get there through workshops, discussion with fellow businesses, and an on-site assessment of your facility.  Whether your organization is well along in its path to sustainability or just getting started, this free program will help you to

1) identify opportunities that will reduce environmental impacts and save money;
2) boost the impact of your green team and increase employee engagement; and
3) raise awareness of your organization's environmental stewardship.

Click the "Learn More" button and indicate your interest in participating by Friday, February 1, 2019. Space is limited!  Workshops will be held in February and April.

interns

Looking for a summer intern?

Summer interns can offer a great way to explore opportunities in energy, water, and waste reduction that you may not have had the time to investigate. Manufacturing facilities should consider working with the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership Intern Program, which will help manage the internship application process including the screening and initial interviews and then match students with manufacturers based on their needs. Learn more here and contact kwells@mdmep.org

EDF Climate Corps is another organization that matches students with companies to help accelerate their sustainability goals.

If you are looking for an intern or know of students seeking practical experience in reducing environmental impacts and saving money, consider posting want ads and resumes on the Maryland Green Registry LinkedIn Group.

Member Spotlights

The Maryland Green Registry Member Spotlights are being released through social media every two weeks and your organization can be one of them!

Just e-mail the following to green.registry@maryland.gov:

1) three very brief bullet points on your organization's green practices and/or results,

2) your logo, if you have one, and

3) a photo or two of your workplace, one of which should include people from your organization.

That's it!  We'll send it back for your review and will let you know when it's posted so that you can like, share etc.
