Mark Your Calendars! The Keep Maryland Beautiful Grant Program Opens Soon.
The Maryland Environmental Trust, Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland Department of Agriculture and the Chesapeake Bay Trust are partnering to present this year's Keep Maryland Beautiful Grant Program. Grants through the Keep Maryland Beautiful program help nonprofit groups, communities and land trusts in Maryland to support environmental education projects, litter removal, community stewardship and to protect natural resources in urban and rural areas.

Maryland Department of Natural Resources Introduces New ‘MD Outdoors’ App"
MD Outdoors will be the official app for the state’s outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, and anglers, replacing the AccessDNR app. Users will need to remove the old app and download a free, updated version from the DNR website. The MD Outdoors app was developed alongside the department’s new licensing system, which provides an easier-to-navigate interface, auto-renew options, and other upgrades in a convenient one-stop shop. Public Angler Access Map
The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Angler Access map is designed to help you find new fishing spots in Maryland. Before you go fishing, check out the Maryland Fishing and Crabbing Guide or visit the Maryland Fish Facts page to learn the rules and regulations for the individual species, so you know if you are allowed to catch them, how big they must be and when it is legal to do so. 114-Acre Future Public Park Conserved in Cambridge
A new Eastern Shore Land Conservancy conservation easement in Cambridge will become a 114-acre public park. Located just off of Maryland Route 50, this thriving woodland is easily accessible and will now be protected forever thanks to funding from the Department of Defense’s Navy REPI Program. Through the support of Program Open Space, the property will soon be transferred from Chesapeake Conservancy to Dorchester County, providing opportunities for more than six miles of public hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails, all while protecting the property’s most sensitive habitats.
