 From Data to Conservation
The Maryland Environmental Trust held a Land Trust Roundtable on May 15, 2025 in Crownsville, MD. The event, From Data to Conservation: How Maryland's Land Mapping Tools Support Conservation Strategy, brought together 50 individuals representing 30 conservation organizations who work across Maryland. The Roundtable featured speakers from DNR’s Watershed and Climate Services unit as well as the Maryland Department of Planning. Participants learned about the state’s land conservation data and interactive mapping tools. The agenda and presentation slides have been posted to the event page.

The Cooperative Agreement sets out the relationship with MET and a land trust organization to clarify roles and establish common understanding. The purpose of the Agreement is to advance land conservation by working collaboratively to support mutual goals and activities.

 Maryland Parks & Preserved Lands - Community Feedback Survey
Help Shape the Future of Maryland’s Parks & Preserved Lands! The Maryland Department of Natural Resources is developing two key plans: the Land Preservation & Recreation Plan and the State Parks Strategic Plan.
This short survey (about 5 minutes) includes the same questions asked at in-person events held across Maryland from April 26 to May 3. Your feedback—along with input from those events—will guide the next decade of priorities for our parks and preserved lands.
The survey is open through Friday, May 30, 2025.

 National Amphibian Atlas
The U.S. Geological Survey's National Amphibian Atlas provides county-level distribution data for all amphibians in the United States. The records are currently being updated. The last major update was 2021. The Atlas can be used to to figure out which amphibians live in your area.
