Trail Work Days

November 17 and 23

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the trailhead across from the pool

Volunteers are needed to help build a new section of trail within the Lonacona Loop Trail. No tools or experience are needed, just a willingness to work hard, and enjoy the company of trail enthusiasts from the community. Please bring your own water, work gloves, and comfortable work boots. A pizza lunch will be provided by the Dans Mountain Volunteer Association.

Lonacona's Legacy Hike

November 29

3-4 p.m. at the trailhead across from the pool

In celebration of Native American Heritage Day, #optoutside and join Ranger Julia on a moderately challenging 1.5-mile hike along a portion of the Lonacona Loop trail. During the walk, you'll experience Dans Mountain during the golden hour, and begin to understand why the trail's namesake, Lonacona, felt such a connection to the area. Pets are welcome on a leash.
