Lend a Hand for Public Land!
NEW DATE: October 19 (rescheduled due to wet trail conditions)
9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Recreation Hall.
In honor of National Public Lands Day, Garrett Trails will be teaming up with the Friends of New Germany State Park to host a trail work day on October 19. Volunteers are needed to shovel stone dust and help with other tasks. Please come prepared for physically demanding work and bring your own drinking water.
The work day will conclude with food and drinks at noon, courtesy of the Friends of New Germany.

Embrace the beauty of the forest under a full moon on this 1-mile hike with Ranger Noah and Ranger Rob. This "Hunters Moon" will be the first full moon of autumn. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp.

Dress for the weather/activity, wear sunscreen and insect repellent, bring plenty of water and snacks, and check for ticks.

$75 for Marylanders; $100 for out-of-state visitors
Our annual State Parks and Trails Passport grants unlimited day-use admission and boat launching at state parks, and a 10 percent discount on state-operated concessions and boat rentals. To enhance convenience and value, this year's pass will arrive in a self-contained packet with a detachable hang-tag, and will be valid for a full year from the month of purchase. Our network of 75 state parks include more than 900 miles of trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding, as well as unique water access and camping facilities.
