WHAT THIS NOTICE DOES The Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources announces the establishment of a minimum wake zone in the area described below. This zone will remain in place for the duration of the emergency established under Executive Order 01.01.2024.13. Effective immediately:
- The area affected by this notice is: All the waters of Patapsco River are enclosed by a line beginning at a point defined by Lat. 39°13.130' N, and Long. 76°31.323' W; then running 353° True to a point defined by Lat. 39°13.268' N, and Long. 76°31.343' W; then running 320° True to a point defined by Lat. 39°13.298' N, and Long. 76°31.375' W; then running 275° True to a point defined by Lat. 39°13.310' N, and Long. 76°31.549' W; then running 59° True to a point defined by Lat. 39°13.379' N, and Long. 76°31.403' W; then running 135° True to a point defined by Lat. 39°13.326' N, and Long. 76°31.335' W; then running 137° True to a point defined by Lat. 39°13.300' N, and Long. 76°31.304' W; then running 144° True to a point defined by Lat. 39°13.160' N, and Long. 76°31.172' W, then running 256° True to the point of beginning. - A minimum wake zone is in place in this area at all times.

 WHY THIS IS NECESSARY This action is necessary to protect the health and safety of workers at the site of the Key Bridge collapse.
WHO THIS NOTICE AFFECTS This applies to all recreational vessels in the described area.
