Looking Forward: Spring Ephemeral Walk
April 20, 2024. 10 a.m. Upper Covered Bridge Lot
This event combines a walk with a service project in celebration of Earth Day 2024. Mid-April is prime viewing time for the spring ephemeral wildflowers in Fair Hill's old growth forests. While walking, we will remove invasive species from areas where flowers are found, freeing foliage to receive even more sunlight during this small window of time before trees leaf out.

Reminder: Don't Feed the Foxes
Just Say No! to feeding wildlife. Winter can be a lean time for our non-human neighbors, but feeding them can do more harm than good. Feeding may spread disease, lead to crowding, cause animals to alter their movements and lose their natural fear of humans. For more on backyard habitat for wildlife, check out DNR's newsletter HabiChat.
