Bioblitz Logo

Bioblitz!

On Friday, November 17, Bohemia River State Park hosted the seventh grade ecology class from Bohemia Manor Middle School. Over 140 students conducted a Bioblitz, observing and cataloging species in the park at stations like Aquatics, Trees, Habitat, Soil Bugs, Birds, and Mammals. This was the first ever school field trip to the park. Thank you for coming out, Bohemia Manor Middle! Thank you also to our group of volunteers which included members of our community, the Maryland Conservation Corps Susquehanna Crew, Cecil Bird Club, and Maryland Biodiversity Project. We want to extend thanks to the National Aquarium in Baltimore for all the supplies we were able to borrow, and to the Friends of Maryland State Parks Foundation for the grant which covered transportation costs. You made this possible. Thank you!
