Trees of Fair Hill

On Friday, October 29, high school students from Cecil County Public Schools will attend Envirothon training at Fair Hill. They will learn about a variety of topics, but Fair Hill rangers will teach them about one which is very near and dear to us...our trees. We have chosen eight trees which are common in our forests at the park, and have collected resources to teach students how to identify these trees when they are covered of leaves...and when they are not.

Knowing more about the natural world surrounding us is enriching in numerous ways! If you would like to learn more about tree identification, please enjoy the study sheet we created for the students by clicking here. We hope you'll give it a try!
