October 14: Self-Guided Haunted Hike 6:30-10 p.m. at the Lake House (weather permitting)
If you're up for a spooky adventure, don't miss this opportunity to explore the haunted 1-mile Orchard Loop by candlelight! This is a self-guided activity, so feel free to begin your hike at any time, but please plan to return no later than 10 p.m. Be sure to drop by the Lake House before or after your hike for hot cocoa and s'mores. October 21: Spooky Campfire Stories 7 p.m. at the Lake House
Gather around the fireplace with Ranger Hannah and enjoy some spooky, kid-friendly stories about ghosts, goblins, werewolves, witches, spiders, and more! Complementary s'mores will be provided.

October 22: Make-and-Take Fall Ornaments 2 p.m. at the Lake House
Join Ranger Hannah for this nature-inspired craft and make a fall ornament to take home with you. This is a "come and go" activity, so feel free to drop by at any point during the program timeframe.

October 24: Take A Hike Tuesday 10 a.m. - noon at the Lake House (weather permitting)
Join Ranger Noah on this challenging 4-mile hike and experience the revitalizing effects of outdoor exercise.

October 27: Movie Night - Goosebumps 7:30 p.m. at the Lake House
Enjoy this free showing of "Goosebumps" (rated PG). Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase at the Snack Bar, along with complimentary s’mores.

October 28: 2nd Annual Haunted Full Moon Hike 7:30 p.m. at the Lake House (weather permitting)
Embrace the beauty of the forest under a full moon (but beware of what lurks in the dark) on this 1-mile hike with Rangers Noah and Hannah. This will be the second full moon of autumn, known as the "Hunter's Moon." Please bring a flashlight or headlamp.

October 29: Jack O' Lantern Carving and Painting Noon at the Lake House
Join Rangers Noah and Hannah for an afternoon of pumpkin carving and painting, just in time for Halloween! Pumpkins and supplies will be provided by the Friends of New Germany State Park. Donations are appreciated. To register, please email noah.manges@maryland.gov by October 28. All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
