September 3, 4, and 5: Labor Day Weekend
Labor Day Weekend is coming up! This weekend is the big sendoff of the summer season at the park, and Point Lookout will be busy.
Park staff recommend that if you plan on visiting during the Labor Day weekend, get to the park early and have a backup plan in case the park is at capacity.

September 17 and 18: The Artillery of Point Lookout
Starting at 9 a.m. at Historic Fort No. 3
This event will represent the time periods of both the War of 1812 and the American Civil War at Point Lookout. Demonstrations and exhibits will be presented by costumed interpreters and will include living history, scheduled small arms and artillery demonstrations, and tours of historic Fort No. 3.

Unless otherwise noted, events are held rain or shine, free and fun for all ages; donations are always welcome. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dress for the weather/activity, wear sunscreen and insect repellent, bring plenty of water and snacks, and check for ticks.
