Join Anne Arundel County’s Erik Michelsen, Deputy Director, Bureau of Watershed Protection and Restoration, Department of Public Works, and Michael Stringer, AICP, Senior Planner, Office of Planning and Zoning for a discussion of how the County incorporated climate change adaptation into its general development plan update, including for water resource planning. The Department of the Environment’s Matthew Rowe, CC-P, Assistant Director, Water and Science Administration, and Planning’s Jason Dubow, CC-P, Manager, Resource Conservation and Management Unit, will present on the state’s Water Resources Element (WRE) Guidance Update, which provides best practices for integrating climate change and identifying suitable receiving waters. This will be followed by an interview with the Anne Arundel County staff.
