Two New Easements Protect Aspen Institute
Through two new conservation easements, on the Aspen Institute properties, MET protected 586 acres in Queen Anne's County. MET staff have been working with Aspen Institute and the University of Maryland for several years on to bring these easements to fruition. These easements protect extensive acres of farmland and scenic views from Carmichael Road, the East Wye River, the Wye Narrows and Wye Island Natural Resource Management Area. MET co-holds the easements with the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy.
