Application Period is Open for the 2021 Keep Maryland Beautiful Grants
Applications will be accepted online for the next round of Keep Maryland Beautiful grants from October 1, 2021 through November 12, 2021. Four different grants are being offered to help volunteer and nonprofit groups, communities, and Maryland land trusts. For more information on how to apply visit the grant application page.
The Keep Maryland Beautiful grants program is Maryland Environmental Trust's oldest program. Over the years, the program has expanded thanks to a robust partnership between the Maryland Environmental Trust, Maryland Department of Transportation, Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development, and Forever Maryland. Combined, this partnership has provided more than a million dollars over the past two decades to nonprofits, schools and local land trusts that work to protect natural resources while enhancing the lives of Maryland citizens and generations to come. This is no small task, especially as state agencies are often faced with limited budget and staff resources.
We spoke with Jon Chapman, MET’s stewardship manager, about the many ways Lens bolsters their agency’s monitoring capacity - from helping them overcome a staffing shortage to supporting data management. Read more.
