Maryland Environmental Trust Saw Success Despite What 2020 Threw at Us!
In 2020 Maryland Environmental Trust completed seven new conservation easements protecting 1,379 acres. The new easements protected lands in Frederick, Kent, Washington, Somerset and Harford Counties. Six of the easements are co-held with land trust partners. Maryland Environmental Trust also completed two amendments of existing easements that strengthened the protections on over 200 acres.
We are grateful to this group of conservation minded landowners who worked with Maryland Environmental Trust and our partners to see their land protected!

Upcoming Volunteer Land Steward Training
Maryland Environmental Trust is looking for volunteers who are passionate about land conservation to work in the field as Volunteer Land Stewards. Maryland Environmental Trust Volunteer Land Stewards visit conservation easements, talk with landowners, make observations, notes, and take photographs of the features of the easement. These visits help to build positive relations, promote good stewardship, and protect the conservation values of the land.
The next volunteer training will be held on February 17, 2021. For more information or to register click here.
