What's Going On at Fair Hill?

Spring is nearly here and we are busy readying the park for the upcoming season!  As you prepare for your next visit, please note that there are many initiatives underway. We have compiled brief summaries of the larger projects on our website for your awareness.

One of these projects includes renovation of the DuPont Hunter Barn, which serves as a public trail-riding stable. While initial plans were to preserve and restore the original structure, a thorough inspection of the building’s structural components led to the determination that it must be razed and replaced. The Department of Natural Resources is working closely with the Maryland Historic Trust to ensure that the replacement structure remains true to the historic character while addressing the operational and maintenance needs of a modern public trail-riding stable.

For information on additional projects currently in the works around Fair Hill NRMA, please visit our project page: What's Going On at Fair Hill.
