February 16: Invasive Weed Pull 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at Manor Area Visitor Center
Help the park and join your local community to pull invasive plants on our trails. A trash pick-up opportunity may also be available. All ages welcome. Bring leather work gloves if you have them, wear clothing suitable for the weather, and bring water and bug repellent. Port-a-pot is available onsite. No cost. RSVP or direct questions to claudia.padilla@maryland.gov. Event is weather dependent.

February 22: Tea Room Open House 1 - 2:30 p.m. at the Gambrill State Park Tea Room 8346 High Knob Road, Frederick
The Tea Room is a rustic building built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. It accommodates 55 people and remains a popular venue for events including baby showers, business meetings, family reunions and weddings. Gambrill State Park is located on Catoctin Mountain, approximately 51 miles northwest of Washington, D.C. and 53 miles west of Baltimore. From U.S. 70, exit onto U.S. Route 40 at Frederick. Travel about six miles. Turn right onto Gambrill Park Road and follow it about two miles to the High Knob park entrance.

Unless otherwise noted, events are held rain or shine, free and fun for all ages; donations are always welcome. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Dress for the weather/activity, wear sunscreen and insect repellent, bring plenty of water and snacks, and check for ticks.
