Recreational and Commercial Oyster Season - Effective Aug. 28, 2019
The secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources pursuant to Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) 08.02.04.11G announces that the recreational and commercial seasons for catching oysters remain closed effective 9 a.m. Aug. 28, 2019.
The 2019-2020 recreational and commercial oyster seasons and other parameters for the oyster fishery will be established in a future public notice.
This action affects recreational and commercial oyster harvesters.
The reason this action is necessary is that regulations effective on Aug. 26, 2019 require the recreational and commercial oyster seasons and other parameters to be established by public notice.
