Are you interested in or new to hunting? Maybe you hunted years ago, but stopped for one reason or another and are thinking about starting back up?
Through the Mentored Hunt Program, you can learn how to hunt, from start to finish, with the assistance of an experienced mentor. We'll help you through the entire process and be there for your first hunt.
To be entered into the 2018 First Shot Mentored Deer Hunt Lottery in Dorchester County, please fill out an application and submit it via email or regular mail (address below) by Sept. 7.

This is a free program for people ages 18 and older. You do not need previous experience or hunter education to participate!
The First Shot Mentored Deer Hunt is being offered through a partnership between the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Maryland State Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Union Sportsmen's Alliance and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
