The Maryland Park Service advises that the Avalon Area (including Avalon, Glen Artney and Orange Grove) of PatapscoValleyStatePark (South Street/Route 1 in Elkridge extending to Ilchester Road south of Ellicott City) will be closed today (Memorial Day), and is expected to remain closed/inaccessible over the next several weeks.
Bikers, hikers and other park patrons are asked to access other park areas, which will remain open and operate as normal.
