Launch of a new workforce development and skills training program focused on the environment and natural resources.

WHY:

Local and state officials and partners will gather to discuss a new workforce development and skills accelerator program, Work2Live WELL, which seeks to provide entry and personal and professional training in the emerging career fields of the environment and natural resources.

The two secretaries will sign a first-of-its-kind partnership agreement formalizing the Maryland Department of Natural Resources program, which received dedicated funding through the Maryland Department of Labor’s Employment Advancement Right Now (EARN) Maryland program.

The program is currently recruiting 30 applicants in Baltimore City and Cambridge.
