We want to take a moment to acknowledge the difficult circumstances you are currently facing. Losing a job unexpectedly can be overwhelming, but please know that you are not alone. We at the Maryland Department of Labor’s Office of Workforce Development are here to support you every step of the way as you navigate through this transition.

We have included more details about our expert-led specialized workshop created specifically for individuals like you, who are dealing with sudden job loss and looking to transition from federal to private sector roles. Join us for a 3-hour, expert-led virtual workshop designed to equip you with the knowledge, strategies, and confidence to transition into the next stage of your career.

Several employers will be present during the webinar. You don't want to miss this opportunity to connect with employers, resources, and services that you may find useful during your transition.

This virtual, Google Meet workshop will be held every Wednesday. We will start promptly at 9 a.m. and end at 12 p.m. Please email us at: FedWorker.Transition@maryland.gov.  We will send you a Google Calendar invitation to attend.
