Dear FAMLI Stakeholders,

We are excited to announce our first stakeholder engagement meeting.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 6 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. via Zoom. Interested parties must register to participate. Capacity is limited to 100 meeting attendees and 20 speakers.

This will be a preliminary session before we begin diving into substantive policy areas at later meetings. During this meeting, the FAMLI team will review the process for the informal regulatory engagement sessions and accept public comment on our engagement process and the regulations as a whole.

Attached to this email is the discussion document for the meeting. We ask that anyone offering public comments limit the topic of their comments to one or more of the five questions listed in the document. You may submit comments either in writing or orally at our June 6 meeting. Public comments delivered orally will be limited to three minutes. The opportunity to offer oral comments will be extended to the first 20 registrants that request to provide oral comments.  If you are not one of the first 20 confirmed speakers, we encourage you to submit a written response. All written comments should be sent to FAMLI.policy@maryland.gov

All oral and written comments will become part of the public record.
