Through inter-agency collaboration, the Hogan Administration continues its innovative approach to offering services by providing both employers and employees with the opportunity to improve their performance and thrive in Maryland.

  • WIOA Convening. The Baltimore County Workforce Development Board is pleased to report that the American Job Center (AJC) Steering Committee hosted its first WIOA Convening on Nov. 30, 2018. The AJC Steering Committee is comprised of leaders from the various partnering agencies that include: Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, Community College of Baltimore County, Division of Rehabilitation Services, Baltimore County Department of Social Services, Baltimore County Department of Economic and Workforce Development, and the One-Stop-Operator, KRA. Learn More…
  • State Announces Second Round of Funding for the Innovative Pathways to Success Apprenticeship Program. Department of Labor Secretary Kelly Schulz announced funding for the second cohort of the Pathways to Success Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Program. The only opportunity of its kind in Maryland, the Pathways program prepares motivated youth through classroom instruction and hands-on skills training for employment and registered apprenticeship in one of the fastest growing occupations in construction. Learn More…
  • Maryland Unveils First-of-its-Kind Apprenticeship Locator. Department of Labor Secretary Kelly Schulz unveiled the Maryland Apprenticeship Locator, a first-of-its-kind interactive tool that connects job seekers and employers with apprenticeship sponsors throughout the state. The user-friendly online application provides current and searchable information for active apprenticeship programs, making it easier to locate apprenticeship opportunities. Learn More…
