Earth Day 2024: Planet vs Plastics
This year's Earth Day theme is Planet vs Plastics. This theme is designed to bring attention to the harmful effects of plastics to the environment and human health, and push for a plastic-free future.
EARTHDAY.ORG is striving for a 60% reduction in plastics through four primary methods:
- Promoting widespread public awareness of the damage done by plastics, and demanding more research be conducted on its health implications.
- Pushing to phase our single-use plastics by 2030.
- Demanding policies to end the damage of fast fashion and the plastics produced and used in the process.
- Investing in innovative technologies and materials to bring a plastic free world.
