As part of her Take a Look with Brooke Tour, Comptroller Brooke Lierman will join a working lunch on Friday afternoon with leaders and staff at Adventist HealthCare Fort Washington Medical Center.
Adventist HealthCare (AHC), founded in 1907 and based in Gaithersburg, is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people and communities through a ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Fort Washington Medical Center serves patients in the Fort Washington, Oxon Hill, and Temple Hills areas, as well as parts of southeast Washington, D.C.
Joining the Comptroller will be Terry Forde, President and CEO, Adventist HealthCare; Eunmee Shim, President of AHC Fort Washington Medical Center; Andrew Nicklas, Deputy General Counsel and Director of Governmental Relations for AHC; and Karmen Brown, Director of Philanthropy and Community Engagement for AHC Fort Washington Medical Center. After lunch, Comptroller Lierman will tour the medical center, which sees more than 400,000 patients each year and has more than 400 employees.
On the Take a Look with Brooke Tours, Comptroller Lierman visits towns and communities throughout the state to learn more about the people, businesses, and community leaders who make Maryland a great place to live and work. On these tours, the Comptroller has the opportunity to see cutting-edge technologies, to talk with local entrepreneurs to take the pulse of the local economy, and to highlight places that contribute to a region’s quality of life.
