Comptroller Brooke Lierman will tour four Harford County businesses this afternoon to talk with owners about their operations, the challenges they face, and their contributions to the local community.
Comptroller Lierman will begin at BSC America in Belcamp, an auction company that focuses on specialized market segments to create a vibrant trading market for buyers and sellers with any kind of asset. She will meet Michelle Nichols-Neff who is the executive vice president.
The next stop will be at Boyle Buick GMC Truck in Abingdon, where the Comptroller will learn about the latest models and technological developments to make vehicles more energy efficient. Paige Boyle is the marketing director and customer relations manager.
The Comptroller then will stop a Klein’s ShopRite of Festival in Bel Air, where she will meet with Sarah Klein, community relations and front-end operations director, to learn about the store and Klein’s charitable foundation and numerous charities it supports.
Comptroller Lierman will wrap up the business tour at The Mill of Bel Air, where she will meet with owners Henry and Brenda Holloway. The business opened in 1986 after the Bel Air Farm Supply was purchased from Mr. Holloway’s grandfather. Ben and Cindy Hushon joined the Mill as partners in 2002 and Mr. Hushon began an agronomy division.
In the evening, Comptroller Lierman will speak to the Harford County Council at its regular meeting.
