On the eighth stop of her “Branching Out” tour of Comptroller Branch Offices, Comptroller Brooke Lierman will tour the Elkton Branch Office Friday. While in Cecil County, Comptroller Lierman will meet business and elected leaders and community stakeholders to gain insight into their visionary ideas and enterprises and update them on her legislative victories.
She will begin her day with a breakfast meeting and tour at NorthBay Adventure Camp in North East – the nation’s largest outdoor education campus and program – which since 2005, has hosted more than 275 public school children, 350 schools and 21 districts in its cutting edge, outdoor residential educational programs. The camp’s Executive Director Jennifer Foy and Development Director Jim Longenecker will lead the tour.

At the Comptroller’s Elkton Office, Comptroller Lierman will talk with staff and taxpayers seeking assistance with their tax filings. Ronnie S. Johnson Sr. is the branch manager.
The Comptroller then will stop by Williams Chevrolet and meet owner Dave Williams and his staff to learn about the automotive industry and the energy-saving features available on new models. Mr. Williams also is president of Anchor Buick GMC Inc. John Dixon, president of Legionnaire Pest Control, also will attend.
In the afternoon, the Comptroller will do a walking tour with business, arts and elected leaders of Elkton Alliance, Inc.; the new Elkton Music Hall; Showcase on Main, which brings live theater and concerts to the community; and the newly opened design and architectural firm, Frederick Ward and Associates, 116 W Main St.
The Comptroller will end her day with a wrap-up session at Elkton Alliance.
