Comptroller Lierman to Deliver First General Assembly Testimony as Comptroller on Agency Priorities on Thursday

Comptroller Lierman on Thursday will give her first in-person briefing to lawmakers on agency budget priorities as she shares her vision for helping to ensure financially stable families, prosperous businesses and thriving communities.
Comptroller Lierman, who was sworn in on Monday, will also discuss her plans for modernizing the agency by making it easier for families and businesses to pay taxes and take advantage of underused state programs, while streamlining the state procurement and payment systems to encourage more participation from small, minority, woman-owned and veteran-owned businesses.
The presentation to the House Appropriations Committee will provide legislators with an overview of some of the Comptroller's top initiatives, setting the tone for a collaborative partnership with the General Assembly.
